As we reflect on 2023, we are filled with gratitude for your incredible support. Thanks to you, the Lewis & Clark Humane Society achieved a remarkable 98% save rate, giving countless animals the second chance they deserve.
This year, we continued our service across Lewis & Clark, Broadwater, and Jefferson Counties, providing a safe haven for strays, abandoned pets, and many other animals in need. We made a significant impact through our adoptions, spay/neuter, and community programs, however, we could not have done it alone.
Our 199 active volunteers contributed over 3,675 hours of their time, helping us provide care, run programs, and keep our shelter operating smoothly. Additionally, our 197 foster homes cared for 756 animals, allowing nearly half of our animals to live in nurturing environments while they awaited adoption. Your generosity, alongside the dedication of our volunteers and fosters, ensured that hundreds of animals found loving homes this year.
As we look ahead to the coming year, we are excited to continue building on the progress we’ve made. With your continued support, we are confident that we can save even more lives, strengthen our programs, and expand our reach to serve more animals and families in need. Together, we will create an even brighter future for the animals in our community. Thank you for standing with us on this journey.
With sincere gratitude,
Kelsee Dalton Watts, Executive Director
Lewis & Clark Humane Society Board of Directors
