Linus

Linus is 8 years old. He’s past the bouncy puppy stage, past the chaos and wild zoomies. He’s in the stage of life where he just wants somewhere soft to land.

He watches people walk by his kennel every day. Sometimes they smile. Sometimes they keep walking. And we can’t help but wonder if he knows why.

Linus worries no one will choose him because he’s older. Because he’s a little chubby. Because he has hypothyroidism and needs daily medication (which manages his condition well). He doesn’t know that none of those things make him less deserving.

He does well with dogs, cats, and kids. He still has plenty of pep in his step. He loves going for walks and proudly carrying around his favorite toys like they’re his prized possessions. There is still so much life and love in this sweet boy.

But the shelter is no place for a gentle, middle-aged soul.

Please don’t let him spend his golden years waiting.
