Charlie has that same overwhelmed look in his eyes as his brother Marlie, but we know that under that nervous exterior is a tender, loving cat just waiting to feel safe again.

Charlie tends to observe quietly at first but warms up to new people with surprising speed once he knows he’s safe. At home, he enjoys being near his people—he’s not the type to demand cuddles, but he’ll curl up near you like a quiet little guardian.

Charlie has done well with other cats in the past, and while he hasn’t met dogs before, he may be open to the idea with a slow and respectful introduction. Like Marlie, Charlie is used to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle, but he’ll need a secure and loving home most of all.

Charlie and Marlie don’t have to be adopted together, but they do need to get out of the shelter and back into a home where they can be themselves again. If you’ve got a soft spot for the shy ones, Charlie might just be your guy.
