Don’t let Sky’s unique hop fool you—this girl is full speed ahead! Because of nerve damage in one of her legs, she often gets around by happily hopping on three legs, but she’s been making wonderful progress and has started using her fourth leg more and more with the help of physical therapy. No matter how she gets there, she’s always ready to run, play, and have fun with her dog friends.
Sky can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but once she realizes you’re a friend, her affectionate side shines. She’ll happily hand out kisses, dramatically flop over for belly rubs, and look up at you with the sweetest, most loving eyes.
She’s done well with other dogs, previously lived with children ages 4, 8, and 9, and is both potty trained and crate trained, giving her a great foundation for life in her new home.
Sky is continuing to work with a physical therapist to build strength and encourage more use of her fourth leg, and she’s making great progress. Our team will happily show you her exercises and help you feel confident continuing her care at home.
Sky is proof that joy isn’t measured by perfect legs—it’s measured by wagging tails, happy hops, and a heart that’s ready to love her forever family.
