Marlie isn’t himself here at the shelter—he’s pretty shut down in this environment, but we know there’s a sweet, gentle soul behind those wide eyes. In a home, Marlie blossoms into a calm and kind companion. He’s not a lap cat, but he’ll happily snooze next to you and keep you company.

Marlie has lived successfully with other cats and would likely do well in a multi-cat household with a proper introduction. He’s never met dogs before, so he’ll need a slow intro to any canine companions. He warms up to new people fairly quickly and enjoys a balanced indoor/outdoor lifestyle (if it’s safe for him to do so).

Marlie came in with his brother Charlie. They can go home together or separately—what matters most is getting them into a space where they can finally relax and be loved. This sweet boy is waiting for someone to see past the fear and give him the second chance he deserves.
